Former Juventus defensive stalwart Andrea Barzagli shared his insights on Federico Chiesa’s future during an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss. There are doubts about the 26-year-old’s future in Turin, as talks over a new contract have reportedly stalled, while Roma are closely monitoring the situation.
There’s a suggestion that the Bianconeri might be prepared to sell Chiesa, who has one year left on his contract, if the right offer were to come in.
Speaking with Radio Kiss Kiss, Barzagli spoke about his former teammate, insisting that Chiesa knows what his best for his future:
“He knows what the best choice is for his future. Right now, he will be focusing mainly on the European Championship, and we will all be cheering for him,” stated Barzagli.
“The Azzurri? I hope Spalletti’s Italy has a great European Championship. They need to start strong, even though the group stage is challenging. But we are Italy; despite having had a few too many injuries, we can succeed.”
