Lazio’s impressive run of form continued with their seventh consecutive victory at the Stadio Olimpico, defeating Bologna 3-0 with second-half goals from Samuel Gigot, Mattia Zaccagni, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Following the match, Lazio President Claudio Lotito shared his thoughts on the team’s performance and the impact of coach Marco Baroni.

Lotito began by expressing his confidence in Baroni’s appointment: “He is the right person, at the right time, and in the right place. We chose him together with the director because we thought he was the ideal profile for our needs. We have created a great family where everyone plays their role, recreating enthusiasm and restructuring the environment. With this unity of purpose, we can achieve great results.”

The Lazio president acknowledged the importance of refreshing the squad: “I waited a bit too long to change some players who had been here for a long time. A sense of belonging often doesn’t happen in football, so we need to create the conditions for a physiological turnover. We have created a new group of highly motivated people who must maintain their humility, living match by match.”

Lotito emphasized the shift in the team’s culture and approach: “The concept of a ‘prize’ is a wrong element in this approach. Players are paid to deliver performances, and we are trying to create a different climate where everyone contributes, and all are united.”
