Adana Demirspor striker Mario Balotelli has hinted that he was like to return to Italy to play in Serie A again. The 31-year-old was being touted for a return to the national team, shortly before Italy’s 1-0 loss to North Macedonia.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, the former Milan and Inter striker shared his thoughts on Turkey, the title race in Italy and a potential return home:
“Playing in Turkey was a great challenge for me. I accepted many challenges in my career and I am really enjoying this one.
The fans in Turkey are very loyal, they care so much about their club and treat the players fantastically well.
It’s great being coached by Montella, I used to watch him on TV when I was a kid, now he can give me great advice.
Serie A? It’s a thrilling sprint finish and well worth following. Whoever wins, I will be happy.
Return to Serie A? The smile says it all…”
