Former Milan and Inter striker Mario Balotelli is being with a surprise return to Serie A, as Salernitana are reportedly in contact with the player. The 33-year-old is currently with Turkish side Adana Demirspor, having signed a one-year deal, but reports suggest he is keen to return to Italy.
TuttoSalernitana report that the Granata are looking to sign a striker in the January transfer window, following a wretched run of form that sees them firmly rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table.
The report claims that Salernitana director Walter Sabatini spoke with club owner Danilo Iervolino, insisting that Balotelli could help bolster the teams forms.
Balotelli is reportedly interested in the idea of joining the club as he would welcome a return to Serie A for the final part of his career.
