Baldanzi leaves Italy under-21 camp, returns to Roma

Start

Tommaso Baldanzi has returned to Roma’s training ground, Trigoria, after leaving the Italy Under-21 national team camp. The young midfielder will not participate in the upcoming friendly match against Ukraine scheduled for Tuesday, November 19th at 18:15.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) released an official statement citing Baldanzi’s “unavailability” for the Ukraine match as the reason for his departure. However, it’s important to note that there are no reports of any injury concerns for the player.

Baldanzi had already missed the previous friendly match against France on November 15th, which ended in a 2-2 draw. His early return to Roma means he will be immediately available for the new manager, Claudio Ranieri, who is preparing the team for their upcoming match against Napoli on Sunday, November 24th.

This development comes at a crucial time for Roma, as the club is eager to start the new era under Ranieri on a positive note. The team is looking to put behind their recent negative results and a poor start to the season, which has left them with only 13 points from 12 matches in Serie A.

Ranieri and the Roma squad will be hoping to utilize Baldanzi’s talents as they aim to turn their fortunes around and climb up the league table.
