Monza are closing in on the signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, following the sale of Michele Di Gregorio to Juventus.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 28-year-old goalkeeper, who recently returned from a loan spell at Napoli, has chosen to accept Monza’s proposal. The club had also considered Udinese’s goalkeeper Marco Silvestri as an option, but Gollini emerged as their preferred choice.
According to the report , Gollini will join Monza on a paid loan deal worth €1 million, with an option to buy set at €3 million. The transfer is expected to be formalized soon.
This move represents a significant reinforcement for Monza’s goalkeeping department, addressing the void left by Di Gregorio’s departure. For Gollini, it offers a fresh opportunity to secure regular playing time and potentially revitalize his career after his stint at Napoli.
