As Atalanta prepares to face Torino in the second round of the 2024/25 Serie A season, the club’s CEO, Luca Percassi, shared insights on the team’s current status and transfer market activities. Speaking to Dazn before the match, Percassi reflected on the team’s performance and future plans.
“We started well,” Percassi remarked, referring to Atalanta’s impressive opening match against Lecce. “It was a beautiful game, but we have a lot to improve. Today’s match will be challenging, and we start from scratch with the goal of performing well.”
Regarding potential transfers, Percassi emphasized the club’s readiness to seize opportunities. “If there are opportunities to strengthen, we will certainly take them. We are vigilant,” he stated, highlighting Atalanta’s proactive approach in the transfer market.
When asked about the situation surrounding Teun Koopmeiners, Percassi acknowledged the club’s aim to retain key players from the previous season. “The club’s objective was to keep all important players from last season. This summer, we have had to manage unexpected situations that are quite disappointing. We will see in the coming days; any decision will be made for the good of the club.”
