Scalvini: His handball did lead to the saved penalty however another classy performance from the young defender. 7/10.

Djimsiti: The experienced Albanian defender consistently provided cover and helped maintain the clean sheet. 7/10.

Kolasinac: Solid defensive performance from the former Arsenal man. 6.5/10.

Holm: Provided constant width, his ball led to the first goal and assisted Koopmeimers for Atalanta’s second goal. 7.5/10

Pasalic: Scored the first goal thanks to his instinctive positioning and was a threat to the Sassuolo goal all night. 7.5/10.

Ederson: A good combative performance in the heart of Atalanta’s midfield. The Brazilian demonstrated why he has been linked to bigger clubs. 7/10.

Zappacosta: The wingback provided a constant supply of high-level balls into the box and was a threat to the opposition’s goal. 7/10.

Koopmeiners: Scored his 7th of the season with a well-taken placed finish in the second half. 7/10.

Miranchuk: His shot rebounded for the first goal and his persistent running stretched the Sassuolo defence. 7/10.

De Ketelaere: The young Belgian demonstrated clever link play throughout creating many chances for his teammates. 7/10.

Consigli: Despite doing poorly for the first goal and conceding three, the experienced stopped making a lot of good saves. 7/10.

Pedersen: Struggled to deal with Zappacosta, a deflection of him resulted in Atalanta’s third goal. 5.5/10

Tressoldi: The weaker of the two centre-backs for the visitors. 5/10.

Viti: Blocked a lot of Atlanta efforts and made some important tackles. 6.5/10.

Doig: Some good defensive work but Holm did get the better of the young Scottish defender. 6/10.

Henrique: Had his close-range effort saved in the first half but didn’t provide much more. 6/10.

Lipani: Did not get into the game and substituted on the hour mark. 5/10.

Laurienté: Not his most effective performance on the left-hand side. 5.5/10

Thorstvedt: Good performance, used his engine and clever running to stretch the Atalanta backline. 6.5/10.

Bajrami: Made several positive runs to try and get out at Atalanta without much success. 6/10.

Pinamonti: Worked hard throughout but ultimately did not score from the spot despite having two attempts. 5/10.
