Arthur’s January exit from Juventus looms as transfer Interest grows

Start

Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo is facing an uncertain future at the club, having yet to feature under manager Thiago Motta this season. Despite being included in the Champions League and Serie A squad lists, the Brazilian finds himself on the fringes of the team.

Calciomercato report that Arthur’s departure from Juventus seemed likely during the summer transfer window, as indicated by sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. However, a move failed to materialize, largely due to the player’s substantial wages of €4.5 million plus €4.5 million in bonuses.

As the January transfer window approaches, interest in Arthur is rekindling. The player is reportedly pushing for a move, aware that his situation at Juventus is unlikely to change. Several potential destinations have emerged:

Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille have expressed strong interest in Arthur. The Italian coach, who previously attempted to sign the midfielder for Brighton, sees Arthur as a valuable addition to his midfield, which already features former Juventus player Adrien Rabiot.

Everton, under Sean Dyche, continues to seek a pure regista for their squad. Arthur’s familiarity with English football from his time at Liverpool, albeit unsuccessful, could work in his favor.

Fiorentina, where Arthur impressed during a loan spell, remains a possibility. The recent injury to Rolando Mandragora has reignited the Florence club’s interest in the Brazilian.

With Arthur’s contract at Juventus running until June 2026, a loan deal in January seems the most likely scenario.
