Physiotherapist Adrian Martinez Castro talked about his work with midfielder Arthur, saying the Brazilian ‘ leaves nothing to chance.’ The 27-year-old is currently on loan with Fiorentina, and speaking with Corriere dello Sport, Castro explained why he believes Arthur is returning to his best form under coach Vincenzo Italiano:
“Arthur leaves nothing to chance but works in all spheres that concern him, on and off the pitch. It’s a pleasure to follow him.
“How did our relationship come about? During his second season at Barcelona Arthur had a problem with pubalgia and that’s when I started to follow him: from that moment a beautiful professional and friendship relationship was born.”
“The best version of Arthur continues to be that of Barcelona but Fiorentina, thanks to the game expressed by Italiano and the trust that the coach places in him, is helping him to return to those levels there. Arthur always tells me that he is happy in Florence and that it was the best choice he could make, not only from a sporting point of view but also in his private sphere”.
“Reaching the Champions League? I don’t know if it can be an attainable goal but I know that when you have players like Arthur in your squad then you have more chances.
The future? ‘Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow but he is now very focused and happy with his present with La Viola.”
