The player has gone a step further, indicating that he is no longer considering Atletico Madrid’s offer. This message has been conveyed both through his representatives and directly to Atletico’s manager, Diego Simeone.
With Roma now the sole destination in Dovbyk’s mind, the Italian club has already reached an economic agreement with the player. The ball is now in Roma’s court as they negotiate with Girona, the club that currently holds Dovbyk’s rights.
Girona has requested the full value of Dovbyk’s release clause. In response, Roma has increased their offer to €32 million plus bonuses. Negotiations between the parties will continue as they seek to reach an agreement.
