Arek Milik: ‘We didn’t play well’

Start

Juventus striker Arek Milik was happy with his late winner but believes the Bianconeri wasted their chances: ‘we certainly didn’t play well.’ Juve wasted a few good chances in a cagey game and let it to stoppage time to secure a late winner that extends their winning run to eight games in a row. Speaking to DAZN after the game, the Polish striker shared his thoughts on the match:

“We are very happy for this win, because it is an important victory, it was important for us to start the year well with a win. We certainly didn’t play well today, we missed a lot, a lot of passes, but in the end what counts is a win. We are very happy with these three points and let’s go on like this.

Sharing the free-kicks with Vlahovic? We train together, he shoots them very well, I think I’m also doing well as far as free kicks are concerned. Afterwards it always depends on the feeling on the pitch, if one feels like it, he takes the ball and shoots, there is never a problem with that.”

How do you see the team after the World Cup?

“We’re still missing a lot of players, because beyond that we’ve all arrived from the World Cup, some have already resumed training a few days ago, they’ve been training for two or three days like Adrien, who came in today and did very well… We’re not full yet, I think we still need a few more weeks to be all ready. Sooner or later we’ll all come in, ready to play and we’ll do well.”
