Antonio Cassano offered his candid thoughts on the recent Inter-Juventus match that ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw. Speaking on the Twitch show “Viva El Futbol” alongside Lele Adani and Nicola Ventola, the former Italian striker didn’t hold back in his criticism of Inter’s performance.
“There were many games within the game,” Cassano began. “Going into specifics, Inter threw away another two points. They could have scored the fifth, sixth, and seventh goals when it was 4-2 and Juventus was suffering. Instead, they messed around thinking they could score whenever they wanted.”
Cassano continued his analysis, stating, “They should have ‘killed off’ Juventus, something they managed to do last season but not this year. Inter needs to be careful; Juventus even risked winning at the end. As a fan, I enjoyed it, but analyzing the match, it was a disaster.”
The outspoken pundit also had praise for one particular player: “Conceicao? He was in a state of grace. He really gave Dimarco and Bastoni a hard time. Finally, Serie A has another player who can take on opponents one-on-one besides Kvaratskhelia.”
