Juventus player Andrea Cambiaso recently participated in the Young Reporter initiative, answering questions from young fans about his time with the club. This project, reserved for Junior Black&White Members, offers the opportunity to become journalists for a day, interviewing the team’s champions.

Cambiaso emphasized the importance of being passionate about one’s pursuits. “Be passionate about what you do, whatever it is. You have to give your all. I gave everything to be here, and I was also lucky,” he shared.

The player’s love for football began early. “From a young age, I was kicking a ball at two years old, and I started playing at five and a half,” Cambiaso recalled.

When asked about his favorite player as a child, Cambiaso said, “Let’s say Messi, then Dybala was one of the best I’ve seen.”

Describing his first goal with Juventus, Cambiaso expressed his excitement: “I didn’t understand anything anymore, it was like a dream. It was the last minute, we won, it was beautiful. Wearing this shirt is the most beautiful thing in the world, I wish it for all of you.”

Cambiaso reflected on his journey from local fields to the Champions League. “It’s beautiful, but the most beautiful thing is that the passion I had in Albissola, I still have now. All I need is a green field, that’s the beauty of it for me.”

Regarding his preferred position, Cambiaso stated, “Maybe full-back, but the important thing is to play well.”

On physical preparation, he explained, “As a child, I played as an attacking midfielder/midfielder, then they moved me. Regarding preparation, we train a lot. Today they made us train quite a bit, but we have a staff capable of preparing us, they take care of it.”

Cambiaso named Leao and Kvara from Napoli as the strongest opponents he’s faced so far.

Describing his first time at the Stadium, he said, “Beautiful, then the Champions League song was amazing. It’s the most beautiful cup there is.”

On playing for the national team, Cambiaso expressed, “It’s a great responsibility and the most beautiful thing. I hope to be able to do it for many years.”

Cambiaso shared his biggest sacrifice: “The biggest was the year in Albissola and then Savona. I had finished studying and didn’t know whether to become a professional footballer or not, and even my family wasn’t convinced about the path, but in the end, I succeeded. That was the most difficult moment.”

Regarding pre-match tension, he revealed, “The worst moment is arriving at the stadium by bus because you have all the tension. I can’t wait to get on the field. I try to laugh and talk to relieve it.”

Cambiaso concluded by reflecting on his personal growth: “From a physical and mental point of view, playing with this shirt is a responsibility that you have to take on, and this is beautiful. Now I’m always more focused.”
