Allegri: ‘It will be a pleasure to see Mazzarri again’

Start

Massimiliano Allegri gave an update on his squad ahead of Juve’s match with Napoli at the Allianz Stadium tomorrow evening. The Bianconeri are expected to be without Timothy Weah, but Allegri can count on both Alex Sandro and Danilo once again. Speaking in the pre-match conference, the Juve coach confirmed his squad status and also revealed that he has been in contact with Paul Pogba following confirmation that the Frenchman could be subject to a four-year ban from football:

“The match against Napoli is another direct clash. It’s five days before the end of the first leg. We’ll also have Roma. Let’s set ourselves a goal: to score more points than last year’s first leg, thirty-eight points”.

“Pogba? For Paul I cannot answer. We texted each other, we’ll wait for this situation to end to see him again. Locatelli? He’s fine, apart from Weah they’re all recovered. Tomorrow I’ll decide between Danilo and Alex Sandro, maybe I’ll break up the game. The second minimum objective is to finish in the top four. Tomorrow will be a complicated match, Napoli are there despite their last defeat. They have 17 points away from home and in the last seven against them we have only won once. Last year we took a good beating, the value of the team doesn’t change”.

“Vlahovic is fine like everyone else. Penalties can be missed. Marking on Kvara? Gatti is doing well, let’s not forget that three years ago he was a Lega Pro player. Now he must confirm himself’.

“Inter? At Juventus you have to live with the pressure. Tomorrow is not the end of a season, it’s still long. Tomorrow I meet Mazzarri again after so many years, it will be a pleasure. We just have to work, I don’t know any other way. Transfer market? Let’s not talk about it.”
