Following the Bianconeri’s significant 1-0 victory over cross-city rivals Torino in match-week ten of the Serie A, Juventus boss Allegri spoke about his side’s display in the media.
Despite the Turin derby being a scrappy affair as it lacked precision and fluidity within the final third, it was Dusan Vlahovic who broke the deadlock within the 74th as he stuck his foot out in order to tuck the ball into the low-corner as Danilo headed Juan Cuadrado’s well delivered corner within his direction.
In an interview with DAZN, relayed by Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Allegri provided his insight on the Old Lady’s performance away from home this evening:
It was a game in which we shot a lot. It wasn’t easy, we hadn’t won away from home yet. The first half was balanced, in the second half we had many chances and they had a shot on which we risked. had a match at Juventus, compact and tidy.
“It was important to win. There was a bit of frenzy, but it was difficult especially at the beginning. We must congratulate the boys: I was serene, I had seen them lucid.
“It was an important match: we analyzed, tonight we won the first away match. Now we have to recover our energy and win against Empoli to continue the path.”
With Juventus sealing all three points, the Bianconeri currently sit in seventh place with a total of 16 points for the time being, four points adrift from a spot within the top four of the league and one point ahead of Inter who have a game in-hand.
