Adrien Rabiot’s recent move to Marseille after a summer without a contract has sparked debate in France, particularly given his history with rival club PSG. At the center of discussions is the role of Veronique Rabiot, the midfielder’s mother and agent.
French agent Bruno Satin (BS&Partners) criticized the work of Rabiot’s mother-manager during an appearance on RMC Sport’s After Foot program. Satin stated, “What happened to Rabiot is the result of the incompetence of the people who have been advising him. He takes advice from his mother, which demonstrates how important it is to be assisted by professionals. If he were represented by a professional, he would be in the European top 10.”
Satin also revealed a behind-the-scenes account of negotiations with Atlético Madrid and the reason for the breakdown in talks. “I spoke with Atlético Madrid’s sporting director at the end of July, and he told me, ‘I had two conversations with the mother and I ended them immediately because she was explaining to me where her son would play.’ She quickly exhausts all professionals; it’s unbearable,” Satin declared.
