Sofyan Amrabat’s agent/brother has played down links with West Ham, suggesting that he would prefer a move to La Liga. The Morocco international was one of Fiorentina’s best players on the night, despite their 2-1 defeat to the Hammers in the Conference League final.
The 26-year-old was previously linked with a deadline day move to Barcelona, but La Viola rejected the bid, opting to keep him until this summer.
Speaking on ESPN, Nordin Amrabat acknowledged West Ham’s interest in his brother, but confirmed that his intentions lie elsewhere:
“Sofyan to West Ham? Sofyan has bigger and better options than West Ham.
“No, he wants to go to the top and his desire is to play in Spain.
“At Barcelona, he is high on the list but you know Barça’s financial situation.
“There are more clubs interested in Sofyan.”
