Adrien Rabiot’s move to Manchester United has fallen through following reports of his high salary demands. The Frenchman had been in talks with the Premier League side over a transfer this summer after he told Juventus of his desire to leave this summer.
The Bianconeri had already agreed a reported €18m fee with United, while the players agent/mother was left to deal with the club over personal terms.
Multiple reports from Italy and England suggest the deal is now off, largely due to the players demands which have been deemed excessive by United.
The Times report that the move collapsed after Veronique Rabiot demanded wages to put her son on par with Bruno Fernandes who earns close to €11m a season.
Fabrizio Romano and others report that for now, the deal is completely off and talks will not resume unless the player is prepared to lower his salary demands.
