Adrien Rabiot set to renew with Juventus

Start

Adrien Rabiot looks set to renew with Juventus once again, with reports suggesting talks have begun on a one-year contract extension. The Frenchman enjoyed his best career season to date in 2022-23, scoring 11 goals across all competitions, attracting the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Despite the links to the Premier League, the 28-year-old chose to renew with the Bianconeri, penning a one-year contract extension until 2024 on the same salary.

His mother-agent recently suggested that it was too early to start talking about a new deal, and that her son would decide in the end, telling SportWeek:

“It’s too early to talk about the future. At the right time we will weigh everything up, and in the end Adrien always decides.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that relations between the club and player are very good, and Juve have let the player know that there is a willingness to offer him another bridging deal: a contract until 2025 at the current figures (€8 million) that can be advantageous for everyone.

The newspaper suggest that Rabiot is willing to remain in Turin for another season, but a lot will depend on Juve’s qualification for next season’s Champions League.

The French midfielder recently scored and setup the decisive winner against Monza, wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of teammate Danilo.
