AC Milan has renewed its pursuit of former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is currently a free agent after his contract with the Turin club expired on June 30. The Rossoneri’s interest in Rabiot has intensified following Manu Koné’s move to Roma, leaving Milan still in search of midfield reinforcements.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Milan management is set to meet with Véronique Rabiot, Adrien’s mother and agent, to discuss the possibility of bringing the French international to San Siro. This meeting signifies Milan’s serious intent to secure Rabiot’s services for the upcoming season.
Rabiot, who spent five years with Juventus, has been without a club since the end of June. His experience in Serie A and international pedigree make him an attractive option for Milan as they look to strengthen their midfield options.
However, any potential deal for Rabiot may be contingent on the departure of Ismael Bennacer. Atletico Madrid is reportedly in negotiations for the Algerian midfielder, and his exit could pave the way for Rabiot’s arrival.
This development comes on the heels of Milan welcoming Tammy Abraham to the club, demonstrating their continued activity in the transfer market as they aim to build a competitive squad for the new season.
