Roma striker Tammy Abraham admits it was a difficult match against Milan but he and his teammates didn’t stop believing in a comeback. The Rossoneri looked to have the result sewn up when they entered into injury time but late goals from Roger Ibanez and Abraham were enough to snatch a vital point. Speaking to Roma TV after the game, the English striker explained why it was such a tough match in prospect:
“It was very difficult tonight, we knew we wouldn’t have too many chances, but we had to keep pushing. At the last chance I told myself to be ready no matter what. I was in the right place, at the right time.
We are happy because we had worked very well during the week. I said before the break that we would come back stronger than before.
The coach told us we had to show character. After the first half, nobody stopped believing even though we were disappointed. Finally, we showed the right attitude to react in the finale.”
