Paul Pogba linked with Juventus return

Start

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has turned down an offer from Manchester City with reports linking him with a return to Juventus. The 29-year-old is set to leave The Red Devils this summer for free this summer having turned down the chance to extend his contract.

Previous reports had linked him with a move to rivals Manchester City with coach Pepe Guardiola known to be a big admirer of the France International.

Writing for The Athletic, English journalist David Ornstein reports that Pogba has turned down the offer from City, ‘instead favouring the whole package offered by another club.’

There’s no clear indication which club this is, but Ornstein adds ‘former club Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are thought to be the most likely destinations at present, although a final decision is yet to be made.’

Pogba enjoyed four successful seasons in Turin, playing 178 games and scoring 34 goals for the Bianconeri.
