Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli is expected to undergo surgery to repair damage to his collarbone after picking up an injury during the 2-1 loss to Sevilla. The Bianconeri midfielder was stretched off the pitch yesterday evening after a collision with Nemanja Gudelj and looked to be in obvious pain.
Reports filtered through that he had sustained a clavicle fracture and would be evaluated in the coming hours to understand the severity of the injury.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Fagioli is expected at Juve’s J-Medical facility later today to undergo further tests which are likely to point towards surgery.
The youngster is expected to miss the remainder of the season, but should be back in time for Juve’s pre-season training and summer schedule, which includes a tour of the USA.
