Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. A report from Il Corriere dello Sport suggests that the player’s agent met with club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli earlier this week to discuss the possibility of a move.
Napoli will reportedly ask for at least €100m which matches the offer that Newcastle United made for the Nigerian International in the January transfer window.
According to Il Corriere, Osimhen ‘dreams’ of making the move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United his favourite destinations. His agent Roberto Calenda is in talks with both clubs and has already informed De Laurentiis and Giuntoli of the the interest in his client.
Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Osimhen, but previous reports have suggested he wants to play in the Champions League next season.
Gianluca Scamacca, Giacomo Raspadori Giovanni Simeone and Armando Broja are thought to be on Napoli’s shortlist at potential replacements for Osimhen.
