Juventus will continue with Max Allegri in charge for the moment, but Tuttosport claim Igor Tudor could be a potential candidate to replace him. The Bianconeri slumped to another defeat in their midweek Coppa Italia clash with Inter, piling yet more pressure onto Allegri. Numerous reports in the Italian press suggest Juve will continue with Allegri, given that he has a contract until 2025, but the club are still monitoring other options.
Tuttosport report that Juve management still have confidence in Allegri’s ‘qualities’ and appreciate how he is leading the team during the current crisis they’re facing. The newspaper point to the Livorno tacticians €7,5m a season salary and suggest that the only way that the two parties could ‘divorce’ is in the event of another club wanting his services, or if they reached a consensual agreement to part ways.
In that context, Juventus welcome the launch of a ‘new project’ and among the names on their list as a replacement would be former player Igor Tudor. The Croatian coach has managed in Serie A and worked as Andrea Pirlo’s deputy before going on to impress at Ligue 1 side Marseille.
Tuttosport claim that Tudor is being ‘monitored’ with particular attention by those at Continassa, given his ‘deep understanding’ of the Juve environment, having worked in Turin as a player and coach.
The report claims that Tudor represents a profile ‘more in line’ with the clubs current needs, rather than the other names linked with the club which include Gian Piero Gasperini, Roberto De Zerbi, Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane.
