FIFA have made the decision to extend the ban of Tottenham Hotspur managing director Fabio Paratici to include worldwide activities. The former Juventus sporting director was handed a 30-month ban by the Italian football federation in January as part of the investigation into alleged ‘plusvalenza’ activities conducted by the Bianconeri.
The ban included a number of former Juve board members and also saw the club handed a 15-point penalty that they are hoping to appeal in the month ahead.
The FIGC have since made a request to have Paratici’s ban extended to include worldwide activities, and FIFA have confirmed that this request has been granted, releasing a brief statement confirming the news:
FIFA have confirmed that – following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC) – the Chairperson of FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect.”
