Juventus linked with Gianluca Scamacca

Start

Juventus are being linked with a move for West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, if they were to lose Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid this season, prompting rumours that he may be sold in the summer, if the Bianconeri were to receive a high enough bid.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (Via VecchiaSignora) report that a number of big European clubs are following Vlahovic, including Bayern Munich and some of the top Premier League sides.

For the moment, Juve don’t know if the interest will translate into a large offer in excess of €70m, and there’s also uncertainty over the club’s prospects of qualifying for European football next season.

Gazzetta suggest that at the Juve HQ at Continassa, the club are still planning for the summer ahead, with Angel Di Maria looking ever more likely to renew his contract for another season. The club are also in the hunt for at least two new midfielders and may also look towards strengthening the front line.

Gianluca Scamacca has also reappeared on the Bianconeri’s radar, given that the club previously followed him closely from his time at Sassuolo.

Juve are reportedly looking to create a younger, more Italian team, and Scamacca fits the profile as he is expected to become a key part of Robero Mancini’s Azzurri setup.

Much will depend on Vlahovics’ future, but Gazzetta claim that if the Bianconeri receive ‘important’ offers for the striker, they first choice to replace him will be Scamacca.
