Juventus eye Hojlund as potential Vlahovic replacement

Start

Juventus are being linked with a move for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund who could be a potential replacement for Dusan Vlahovic. The Danish international has been in fine form since the start of the year, scoring six so far in the 2022/23 campaign, five of them coming in 2023 alone.

Il Corriere dello Sport outline how the 20-year-old has become a target for a number of sides, including Real Madrid and Arsenal, who are both keenly following the youngsters progress in Bergamo.

The report also claims that Hojlund has become a priority for the Bianconeri, if they have to replace Dusan Vlahovic in the summer, given the Serbian is also being tracked by a number of Europe’s elite teams.

Serie A rivals Milan have also been linked with a move for the 20-year-old, but the €40m price-tag could prove difficult for the Rossoneri and a number of other Italian sides.

Juventus are more likely to face opposition from Napoli for the young Dane, as they could find themselves in a similar position to the Bianconeri with their star striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian international is being followed by the likes of Manchester United and PSG, and his future at the Stadio Maradona seems unclear for now. Should Napoli be forced to sell the 24-year-old, they too could look to Hojlund as a potential long-term replacement, but may be prepared to leave him on loan at Atalanta for a season.

Hojlund moved to Bergamo from Strum Graz for €17m last summer signing a contract until June 2027.
