Napoli have confirmed that forward Giacomo Raspadori has suffered an injury with reports suggesting he could be out for up to 50 days. The club released an official statement, confirming that the youngster has suffered a thigh strain and will be reassessed again:
Giacomo Raspadori has undergone tests at the Pineta Grande clinic which revealed a second degree strain to the semimembranosus muscle in his left thigh. The Napoli striker has already started his rehabilitation programme and will be reassessed in the coming weeks.
Reports from Il Mattino and other outlets suggest that the injury may be more serious than originally indicated, meaning Raspadori is likely to miss at least a month and a half of the season, which will include Italy’s friendly match against England on March 23.
