Sports data company Opta believe Napoli have a 99.46% chance of winning the Scudetto this season, but the top four race is more open. Opta have analysed the season to date, taking into account points, wins, losses, goals scored and conceded, schedule, form and records and relayed their findings in a report published in il Corriere dello Sport.
The data shows the Partenopei as clear favourites, on course to win their first title since 1989/90, with a 99.46% chance of lifting the Serie A trophy.
Inter, according to Opta, have a 0.5% chance of making a comeback, while the remaining Serie A teams don’t enter into the equation, with Milan standing at 0.02%.
In the battle for the Champions League places, Inter stand at 94.49% likely to qualify, Milan at 67.43%, Atalanta at 57.63%, Roma at 52.18% and Lazio 26.26%.
Lazio are more likely to qualify for next season’s Conference League (33.51%) along with Juventus at 13.82%.
Meanwhile, Sampdoria and Cremonese are more than 90% likely to be relegated to Serie B next season.
