Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray are the latest team to be linked with a move for Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo. The 23-year-old has been excluded from coach Jose Mourinho’s squad and is expected to be out of action for at least a month after citing ‘psychological stress‘ following the events of the last few weeks.
Sky Sport Italia report that Galatasaray have approached the Giallorossi about Zaniolo’s availability, given the Turkish transfer window is still open until February 8.
Fabrizio Roma writes that the two clubs are in talks over a potential deal, although Roma are holding firm on their stipulation that the player will only leave on a permanent move, not a loan.
Zaniolo risks spending the rest of the season on the sidelines after handing in a transfer request and refusing a call up to Roma’s squad for a recent match against Spezia and according to Sky, he is giving serious thought to the Galatasaray proposal.
