Juventus defender Gleison Bremer explained that the players talked amongst themselves to try and get their winning mentality back. The Bianconeri suffered a shock loss to Monza last weekend and were held to a 3-3 draw against Atalanta the weekend before, at a time when they are in desperate need of points.
The Old Lady put that behind them and returned to winning ways last night with a 1-0 victory over Lazio in the Coppa Italia, with Bremer scoring the deciding goal. Speaking to Mediaset after the match, the Brazilian defender outlined why the win is so important to the players at the moment:
“I am happy with this goal, we got through and that is what matters right now.
“We know that our last two games have not been up to our standards, but we talked and told each other that we need to focus on what happens on the pitch, we let the club sort things out off the field.
“Juve are a top level team, we must try to get as many points as possible to see where we are at the end of the season.
“At the start of the year we lost some of that winning spirit, but as I said before, we talked amongst ourselves and got it back.”
