Premier League club Bournemouth are expected to turn their attentions from Nicolo Zaniolo to Sassuolo midfielder Hamed Junior Traore. The Cherries have seen their latest bid to sign Zaniolo rejected, despite club intermediaries flying to Rome to attempt to speak directly with the youngster and convince him of the move.
Tuttomercatoweb and Fabrizio Romano now report that Bournemouth are in talks with Sassulo for Traore and a move could be agreed before the close of the transfer window.
The 22-year-old was a key part of the Sassuolo squad last season but has been limited to just a handful of appearances this season, largely as a substitute.
He suffered a metatarsal fracture in June last year and was out for almost four months, but still contributed eights goals in the 2021-22 season for the Neroverdi.
