Inter are being linked with a move for Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof, in case Milan Skriniar leaves the club in January. The Nerazzurri are resigned to losing the Slovakian International following reports yesterday that he has already agreed personal terms with PSG and will be heading there in June, no matter what happens in the months in-between.
The Ligue 1 side have reportedly made a nominal €10m offer to Inter in a bid to secure him in January, hoping that Inter will accept, rather than lose him for free at the end of the season.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Inter are possibly anticipating losing Skriniar before next weeks deadline, and could look to United’s Lindelof as a last minute alternative.
For the moment, United are not prepared to let him go as their preferred alternative, Lille’s Tiago Djaló, is not on the market this winter.
Skriniar was suspended for Inter’s 2-1 win over Cremonese yesterday, and speaking after the game, coach Simone Inzaghi seemed resigned to losing the centre-back, saying: “You have to ask that question to Marotta and Ausilio. I cannot waste time imagining what happens in the future, I concentrate on the pitch.”
