EXOR CEO John Elkann believes the 15-point penalty handed to Juventus is an ‘injustice’ and vows to defend the club and it’s supporters. The Bianconeri are beginning their defence against Friday’s verdict which deducted them 15 points, and are planning to lodge an appeal to CONI. In a brief interview to La Stampa, Elkann reassured the club’s supporters that they will be fighting the verdict all the way:
“The injustice of this ruling is evident, and many people have noted it, even people who don’t support Juventus.
We will defend ourselves to protect Juventus fans and all those who love football. I hope that together with other teams and the government we can change football in our country to build a sustainable and ambitious future.
Juventus is not the problem but is, and always will be, part of the solution. The future of Serie A, which is becoming marginal and irrelevant, is at stake here.”
