A report from Arabic broadcaster beIN SPORTS claims that Juventus are ready to part ways with coach Max Allegri. The Old Lady have endured one of their toughest seasons in recent memory, starting the league campaign in dreadful form, being eliminated from the Champions League and now being handed a 15-point penalty in Serie A.
Supporters have often singled out Allegri this season for his ‘defensive’ tactics and overall approach to matches, however, the previous Bianconeri management were adamant that the coach would remain in charge.
beINSPORTS now make the claim that the ‘new Juventus administration is considering ending its relationship with Allegri’.
The broadcaster claims that ‘sources close to Juventus’ have confirmed to beINSPORTS that the ‘new management of the Agnelli family club has begun to actively consider searching for solutions to end its relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri.’
Allegri has a contract with Juventus until 2025 and sacking him would be expensive, given his €7m a year salary, however former Bianconeri boss and player Antonio Conte is already being linked with a return to the club in the summer.
