Salernitana are expected to do do a U-turn over their decision to sack Davide Nicola with reports now claiming he will remain at the club. I Granata confirmed on Monday that they would be parting ways with the coach after a dreadful run of games with the latest being an 8-2 drubbing at the hands of Atalanta.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio now reports that after waiting 48 hours, club president Danilo Iervolino has made the decision to bring Nicola back.
The president reportedly spoke with the coach in the last few hours and he is already expected to lead todays training session, which is scheduled for 3.00pm.
Nicola took over Salernitana in February last year, winning just eight of his 34 games in charge, losing 14 and drawing the other 12.
