Premier League club Aston Villa are the latest team to show interest in Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie. The US international was previously linked with Bournemouth, with Juve setting an asking price of €30-40m for the 24-year-old who looks set to leave Turin.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Aston Villa have joined the race to sign the former Schalke midfielder, with Juve eager to cash induring the January transfer window.
McKennie has a contract with the Old Lady until June 2025, but is considered surplus to requirements, as Fabio Miretti and Nicolò Fagioli are expected to feature more prominently as the season resumes.
Should McKennie be sold, Juve are not expected to replace him in the transfer window, opting instead to put their faith in the younger players.
