Danilo expected to extend Juventus contract

Start

Juventus defender Danilo is expected to renew his contract with the Bianconeri, potentially tying him to the club until he retires. The 31-year-old arrived in Turin in 2019 and has become an integral part of coach Max Allegri’s back-line, playing at both right-back and centre-back.

Sky Sport Italia now report that the Brazilian, whose existing deal ends in 2024, is expected to sign a contract extension until 2026, taking him to his 34th birthday.

Danilo has featured as captain on occasion when Leonardo Bonucci and Juan Cuadrado have been out with injury and is reportedly a key member of the Juve dressing room.

The former Manchester City man has made 129 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring five goals in his four seasons with the club.
