Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae has no intention of leaving Napoli, despite interest from Manchester United and Liverpool. The South Korean international has been one of the signings of the season so far, helping the Partenopei win 11 games in a row, remaining the only unbeaten team in the league to date.
Il Corriere dello Sport report that both United and Liverpool have a strong interest in the 26-year-old who has a €45m release clause that will be valid from 1st to 15th July, exclusively for foreign clubs.
Despite the links, the report suggests Kim has no desire to leave Napoli in the summer, having joined from Fenerbahce in the summer for just €18m, and while clubs could activate the release clause, they would have to negotiate with the player. For his part, the player wants to stay at Napoli, having become a key part of the team and recently addressed rumours linking him a with a move, telling Korean TV program You Quiz:
“The market rumors that are circulating about me are very annoying to me. I have just arrived in Naples, i’ve only been there 6 months, I find myself very happy in the blue of Napoli. I have avoided interviews so far for this very reason.”
