Juventus linked with World Cup star

Start

Juventus are being linked with a surprise move for Brighton’s World Cup winning midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister. The Bianconeri are thought to be eyeing up a replacement for Adrien Rabiot who looks set to leave next summer, despite boss Max Allegri being keen to keep the Frenchman.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportmediaset both report that Juventus are interested in the Argentine international as he fits a clearly defined profile that Allegri is looking for in midfield.

Gazzetta suggest Juve could sell Weston McKennie in order to fund the transfer and would entertain offers for the USA international during the January transfer break.

McKennie has failed to cement his place in the Bianconeri midfield and could be sold for around €20m, funds that would then go towards the signing of a new player.

Mac Allister is thought to be on Juve’s list of targets along with free agent Isco who recently left Sevilla after playing just 12 times this season and reportedly failing to impress coach Jorge Sampaoli.
