Napoli are close to securing Sampdoria full-back Bartosz Bereszyński with an announcement expected in the coming days. The Partenopei have been among the most astute clubs in Serie A this season, selling a number of first team regulars and replacing them with players who have helped them charge up the table, making them serious contenders for the title.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano now reports that Napoli have moved early in their bid to maintain the title push by agreeing a deal for Samp’s Bereszyński, with the Polish international expected to complete his move at the start of the January transfer window.
The deal will include Alessandro Zanoli moving in the opposite direction with personal terms having already been agreed between clubs and players, and Bereszyński filling in as a backup option for Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Bereszyński has been with Samp since 2016, making 186 appearances in all competitions for the club and scoring one goal during his six seasons in Genoa.
