Premier League side Arsenal have reportedly offered full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to Inter in exchange for Denzel Dumfries. The Dutchman is set to return to Milan after his countries elimination at the World Cup in Qatar, but he could be sacrificed in the upcoming transfer window as the Nerazzurri need to make a sale to help balance their books.
Dumfries has been one of the clubs most consistent performers and put on an encouraging display at the World Cup, prompting the reported interest of a number of clubs.
A report from website Caught Offside suggests that Arsenal are among the interested parties and are prepared to offer a swap deal that would include Tomiyasu, who has played sparingly this season, becoming a backup to Ben White.
It’s unlikely that Inter would entertain the offer, given that they are keen to earn around €50-60 million from the Dutchman’s sale, a figure that might be beyond the Gunners who have priorities elsewhere for any transfer funds.
