A report from Il Corriere dello Sport suggests that PSG full-back Achraf Hakimi is keen to return to former club Inter. The 24-year-old made his name during a loan spell with Borussia Dortmund before making the switch from Real Madrid to the Nerazzurri in 2020. The Moroccan international won the league title in his sole season in Serie A before making a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
Corriere dello Sport now report that Hakimi has declared in private that he misses Milan and dreams of returning to Inter at some point. An imminent move seems difficult, given Inter’s limited finances at present, and especially as they could cash-in on Denzel Dumfries in the coming transfer window.
Corriere suggest that despite the difficulties involved, Hakimi has confided to his former Inter teammates that he wants to come back to the club and imitate Romelu Lukaku who also left the Nerazzurri in the same summer. For now, there’s no suggestion of an impending move, but the newspaper suggests that Lukaku’s return to Inter also seemed impossible at one point.
