Napoli show great intentions to bolster their squad as they are eager to snatch Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo.
As it stands, the 23 year-old’s contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in the summer of 2024. Consequently, this enables other club’s to sign the Italian international for a fairly low fee within the market ahead of next season.
So far this season, Zaniolo has failed to hit the ground running as he only scored a single goal in 11 games played within the Serie A for Mourinho’s side. However, several elite clubs are intrigued in negotiating for the young starlet as he possesses remarkable speed and technical ability when facing defenders along the flanks.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, I Partenopei are plotting a €30m fee within their pursuit for the promising prospect as he fits the profile that Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti is searching for within his squad.
With the Azzurri potentially offloading Nigerian hit-man Victor Osihmen for a hefty transfer fee at the end of the campaign, the addition of Zaniolo would avoid a lack of depth within the front-line.
