Milan want Ziyech on loan with option to buy

Start

Milan are pushing to sign Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea and are reportedly ready to make their first offer. The Rossoneri came close to agreeing a move for the player in the summer but a transfer failed to materialise before the close of the transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan have held a long-standing interest in Ziyech who has helped his national team all the way to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.

Gazzetta suggest the Diavoli will make a new effort to sign the winger in January, offering Chelsea a loan with an option to buy worth €15 million.

For his part, Ziyech is reportedly willing to join Milan where he’s expected to get more playing time, given he has featured sparingly at Stamford Bridge this season. The 29-year-old is also open to cutting his €6m-a-year wages in an effort to help push through a move to Milan in January.

The Rossoneri are expected to offer Ziyech between €4-4.5m a season but could use the Italian Growth Decree to improve their offer.
