Milinkovic-Savic willing to sign Lazio renewal on one condition

Start

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic would be willing to renew with Lazio on one condition. The Serbian midfielder is being closely linked with a move to Juventus next summer, with various reports suggesting he has already agreed personal terms with the Bianconeri.

Pedulla reports that the 27-year-old has reached an agreement with Juve for €6 million a season plus bonuses. The deal reportedly came into place after numerous meetings between the player’s agent Mateja Kezman and the Old Lady.

Lazio have proposed a contract renewal on at least a couple of occasions, but in recent weeks there has been no breakthrough, with Lazio President Claudio Lotito continuing to ask for €100 million for his star midfielder.

Pedulla reports that Milinkovic-Savic would be willing to sign a renewal with Lazio, but on the condition that there is a release clause, valid for Italy as well, at no more than €40-50 million.

The player doesn’t want to leave the Biancocelesti in the lurch after 7 years with the club, but at the same time he believes that a figure should be put in line with the fact his contract is expiring next summer.

Milinkovic-Savic and his entourage have completely opened up to the idea of joining Juve and that the ball is now in Lotito’s court.
