Serie A side Roma are among the clubs following Atlético Colón midfielder Facundo Farias but they face competition from a number of Europe’s elite sides. The 19-year-old has generated a lot of buzz following his encouraging performances in the Argentine Primera Divisió where he’s scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in 64 appearances.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Giallorossi are one of the clubs strongly interested in the youngster with with his agent Martin Sendoa having already confirmed to TSF in the summer that Roma had made an offer for the talent:
Obviously he prefers Porto, It’s a club that can serve as a springboard to later reach the best teams in the world. We will wait… for a proposal from Porto through some intermediaries that I have sent to Europe. We may also have an offer from Roma, but we definitely prefer Porto.”
Despite the links with other sides, Farias is still on Roma’s radar with Serie A opponents Atalanta and Sassuolo also closely monitoring the situation, while Manchester United are also taking an interest.
