Ola Solbakken close to Roma move

Start

Norwegian striker Ola Solbakken is on the verge of becoming a new Roma player when his contract with Bodo/Glimt expires on 31 December. A deal for the 24-year-old was reportedly agreed with his entourage earlier this season, with Solbakken expected to earn €1m a season until 2027.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Solbakken has already admitted to the imminent move to Italy when speaking to local media in Norway:

I’m extremely grateful to Bodo/Glimt for all these years together. We became a small family and accomplished many great things. I am convinced that the boys will improve even more in the coming years.

Now a new chapter awaits. A new adventure begins. I will go and play in a great league and join a top club. It will be fun to start a new journey in a foreign league, and who knows, perhaps one day I’ll meet Bodo as an opponent

Il Tempo report that the Norwegian is expected to land in Italy next week and meet with Giallorossi General Manager, Tiago Pinto, to finalize the parts of his contract ahead of his free transfer after the international break.
